Job Position : Millwright – MH
Location : Saudi Arabia
Contract : 2 Years
Job Purpose :
To carry out both planned and unplanned maintenance activities in Belt Conveyors (Flat, Chevron, and Bucket type), Stacker Reclaimer, Ship Unloader, Ship Loader, and other MH equipment to ensure they function in compliance with operating standards available to meet production requirements.
Job Responsibilities :
- Observe and inspect equipment to identify any defects/issues to ensure MH equipment is functioning properly and in compliance with specific operating standards.
- Record inspection results, perform standard data analysis if required, and document all data in specified log sheets according to set maintenance procedures to ensure MH equipment data is available for PPM analysis.
- Assess straightforward defects/issues and determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced, such as belt joint, sidewall, bucket, etc., to support the continuous availability of MH equipment for production at optimal cost.
- Perform temporary and/or permanent repairs where necessary to ensure MH equipment is functioning properly and in compliance with operating procedures.
- Carry out emergency/unplanned diagnosis and repair activities as necessary to ensure MH equipment is available to meet operational needs.
- Inspect maintenance tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and fit for purpose at all times.
- Bring to the attention of the Foreman/Engineer any items to be included in the planned shutdown to ensure planned shutdown time is used effectively.
- Report abnormal observations and measures to senior colleagues to ensure appropriate remedial action or planning of future maintenance activities.
- Ensure all operating, safety, environment, and quality procedures are followed to maintain the highest standards of operational integrity.
- Communicate clearly with technicians on the next shift about current maintenance/repair activity, crane operation, and conditions to ensure proper handover of the shift with full and clear information.
- Actively participate in QC Circle activities and seek opportunities for improvement in maintenance activities and processes to support the ongoing achievement of the highest operating standards.
- Follow the HSE rules, regulations, and procedures of the company and report any HSE concerns and incidents to the responsible person.
- Carry out any additional tasks as required by Management/Superiors.
Qualifications : Technical School Graduate or Mechanical Diploma from a recognized professional body.
Minimum Experience : 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
Job Specific Skills :
- Experience in the maintenance of Ship Unloader, Ship Loader, Stacker Reclaimers, Screening & conveying equipment.
- Hands-on experience in the Vulcanizing process of Fabric and Steel cord type Conveyors.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently on own initiative.
- Use of English (mandatory) and Arabic language (preferred), technical and business report writing skills.
- Relationship building skills.
- Understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
