Millwright - DR

 Job Responsibilities :

Policies and Procedures:

• Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in the DR Mechanical Section to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and effective manner.
• Ensure all operating, safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed to maintain the highest standards of operational integrity.

Maintenance:

• Inspect and observe equipment, identifying defects/issues to ensure equipment functions properly and in compliance with operating standards. Perform all equipment inspection, repair, and maintenance activities during shifts, plant shutdowns, and emergency cases.
• Support the Sr. Technician in recording inspection results, performing standard data analysis if required, and logging all data according to set procedures.
• Communicate clearly with technicians on the next shift regarding current maintenance/repair activity, equipment operation, and conditions to ensure smooth handovers.
• Follow and fulfill the Equipment Maintenance Execution Schedule.
• Apply mechanical maintenance activity quality programs to ensure plant operation and equipment health while minimizing maintenance costs.
• Assess straightforward defects/issues and determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced to maintain the continuous availability of fully functioning plant and equipment.
• Perform temporary and/or permanent repairs as necessary to ensure equipment functions properly and complies with operating procedures.
• Carry out emergency/unscheduled diagnosis and repair activities when needed.
• Inspect maintenance tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Report abnormal observations and measures to senior colleagues for appropriate remedial action or future maintenance planning.

Shutdown Activities:

• Participate in shutdown activities assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
• Assist Sr. Technician in preparing the Shutdown job list and schedule.
• Write findings observed during daily inspections for follow-up in the nearest shutdown opportunity.

Safety, Health & Environment:

• Follow HSE rules, regulations, and procedures, and report any HSE concerns and incidents to the responsible person.

Other Assignments:

• Carry out additional tasks as required by management or superiors.

  • DRO, DRE, DRI, DRU, Shift activities related to follow-up and information sharing.

6. CONTEXT, WORK ENVIRONMENT & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

• Work within very detailed and defined rules and instructions with assistance always available.
• Operate under close supervision with direct and detailed instructions.
• Key decisions with significant impact on production are referred to the line manager for approval before implementation.
