Repairman – Finishing & Slide Gate

 Job Responsibilities :

Technical Operations and Maintenance

• Follow instructions (verbal/written) from supervisors and utilize required materials and tools.
• Perform repair and maintenance of equipment like hydraulic cylinders, gear reducers, compressors, and cranes.
• Inspect equipment, identify defects, and decide repair/replacement as necessary.
• Prepare and check new/circulating/standby ladles for operation, ensuring SOP compliance.
• Maintain purging and hydraulic slide gate systems to facilitate smooth steel casting.
• Participate in shutdown activities, including preparation of job lists and schedules, and ensure material readiness.
• Conduct ladle cleaning, refractory material replacement, and maintenance of mechanisms for operational readiness.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality protocols to ensure compliance and maintain operational standards.
• Follow company HSE rules, report incidents or concerns, and implement corrective actions to maintain workplace safety.

Policies, Systems, and Procedures

• Implement and adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent operational performance.

Continuous Improvement and Reporting

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, practices, and systems.
• Collect and finalize operation data for reporting purposes.
• Contribute to timely and accurate preparation of reports aligned with departmental requirements.

Housekeeping and Handover

• Ensure cleanliness of tools, machines, and work areas post-job completion.
• Communicate effectively with incoming shifts to ensure smooth handover and continuation of operations.
