Position Title: Field Civil Surveyor
Reports to: Site Manager / Project Manager
Job Purpose:
The Field Civil Surveyor is responsible for conducting site surveying activities, utilizing advanced surveying equipment to ensure accurate measurement and reporting. The role involves coordinating with the Geomatics team, executing site surveys, and ensuring that all surveying tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Accountabilities:
Surveying Activities:
- Perform site surveying using Total Station and other advanced surveying equipment.
- Execute level surveys and as-built readings as required.
- Stake out locations according to approved drawings and specifications.
Reporting and Coordination:
- Report findings and coordinates to the Geomatics team and engineering department.
- Ensure accurate documentation of surveying activities and measurements.
Technical Support:
- Provide support in surveying-related tasks, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Assist in the verification and correction of survey data as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Site Civil Surveyor.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in surveying activities, particularly using Total Station.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in executing site surveying activities and reporting findings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and Geomatics teams.
