Position Title: Field Pipeline Facilities / Static Equipment Supervisor

Reports to: Field Superintendent

Job Purpose:

The Field Pipeline Facilities / Static Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation and inspection of pipeline facilities and static equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and project objectives. This role involves supervising field staff, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of work.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Management:

    • Supervise installation of pipeline facilities and static equipment, including lifting work and installation details.
    • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
    • Review and approve on-site fabrication and erection works in accordance with approved procedures and drawings.
  • Technical Coordination:

    • Verify project specifications, installation procedures, ITPs, and method statements before commencement of work.
    • Conduct pre-installation and alignment checks, including tag weld pad, lift-up equipment, seal weld pad, alignment, level check, and coupling alignment.
    • Supervise mechanical contractors and ensure proper execution of construction activities.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Inspect daily fabrication and erection works of piping at stations.
    • Review and comment on contractor planning related to piping activities.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of as-built drawings and documentation.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce safety standards and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Address and resolve any safety or compliance issues on-site.
    • Report and document any anomalies or deviations from contractual requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of progress and daily activities.
    • Prepare and manage punch lists for finished work prior to handover to end user.
    • Issue material vouchers and monitor material usage.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum Experience:

    • At least 15 years of experience as a Pipeline Facilities / Static Equipment Supervisor or Construction Engineer in oil and gas industries.
    • Specialist in construction/inspection works of station piping/booster stations.
  • Job-Specific Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of reading and understanding isometrics, P&IDs, and equipment general arrangement drawings.
    • Ability to handle all aspects of piping, mechanical, and pipeline construction activities.
    • Proficiency in supervising field staff and managing construction activities.
